Thiruvananthapuram | Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will inaugurate the state-level 'Vigilance Commandos' initiative as part of Project Zero, the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau's campaign to promote transparency and mobilise youth against corruption.

The initiative aims to enlist young people as ambassadors in the fight against corruption as part of the government's efforts to build a transparent and corruption-free Kerala, according to a police statement on Monday.

During the event scheduled to be held at Loyola School, Sreekaryam here on July 29, Chennithala will also distribute 'Vigilance Commandos' badges to selected youth volunteers, it said.

State Health and Devaswom Minister K Muraleedharan will preside over the function, while Kazhakkoottam MLA V Muraleedharan will deliver the keynote address.

Actor Nivin Pauly will administer an anti-corruption pledge to the participants, and Kerala Governor's Secretary Dr K Vasuki will be the chief guest.

Director General of Police and VACB Director Manoj Abraham will present an overview of Project Zero and the Vigilance Commandos initiative, the statement added.
