Thiruvananthapuram | The BJP in Kerala is planning a big celebration across the state on May 21 to mark the swearing-in of three of their MLAs in the assembly.
The party has planned programmes in several wards of Nemom constituency for Thursday evening to thank the people for the BJP's historic win from there, the saffron party said in a release on Wednesday.
Besides that, the oath taking of the three BJP MLAs will be enthusiastically celebrated across the state, it said.
Prior to that, in the morning, the three BJP MLAs -- Rajeev Chandrasekhar, V Muraleedharan and B B Gopakumar -- will arrive at the assembly for the swearing-in after paying tributes at the Martyrs' Column at Palayam here, the release said.
The BJP won three seats in the 2026 assembly polls, opening its account in the state politics after a long time. It had won one seat in the 2016 assembly elections.
The MLAs will arrive at the assembly in a public procession along with party workers and supporters, it said.
Former party state presidents Kummanam Rajasekharan, P K Krishnadas and K Surendran, along with other BJP and NDA leaders, would lead the procession, it said.
