Kochi | As people in Keralam reel under power cuts, especially at night, some miscreants pulled out the fuses from a couple of transformers in the Thripunithura area here a day ago, resulting in disruption of electricity to local residents for nearly two hours, police said on Thursday.

Officials of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) have lodged a complaint with the police against the miscreants who are yet to be identified, an officer of Hill Palace police station said.

An FIR is yet to be registered on the complaint of the KSEB, the officer added.

"We are looking into the matter," he said.

It took around two hours to restore power in the affected area as the culprits had thrown away the fuses removed from the transformers, police said.
