Kerala HC considering former woman Cong leader plea for protection from CM Satheesan

Kochi | Kerala High Court is considering a plea moved by a former woman Congress leader seeking police protection from Chief Minister V D Satheesan and his brother.

Former Congress leader Simi Rosebell John, in her plea, has sought directions to the state government and Thevara police station to ensure Satheesan and his brother -- V D Ajayakumar -- and their men do not, in any manner, interfere with or obstruct her or her family's peaceful life and property.

The plea was moved in the High Court in April this year when Satheesan was the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly.

Subsequently, the court asked John to record her statement with the police.

The matter was taken up on June 19 and the court granted time till July 2 to the lawyers of the respondents (Satheesan and his brother) to file their objections to the petition.
