

New Delhi | Top BJP leaders on Wednesday hailed Narendra Modi's 25 years in public office, a career that saw him presiding as Gujarat chief minister to becoming the country's prime minister.
The party also released several videos on social media platforms, celebrating Modi for "standing tall with a resolve that has made every mountain bow." "Amidst countless challenges, the life journey of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is a testament to his steely determination. To every strike from the opposition, he has responded solely with his work, the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and the nation's development," BJP posted on X.
"This is the saga of a resolute leadership that has neither bent, nor halted, and will never stop," it added.
BJP president Nitin Nabin said Modi accorded the highest priority to public service and good governance with the spirit of Nation First throughout his 25 "golden years" of journey as a head of the government.
"This is not merely a period, but a historic chapter of clear vision, unwavering resolve, and the building of a modern India," he added.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said his 25 years of service and dedication has been characterised by tireless hard work, remarkable resolve, and making the nation first the goal of life.
Modi took oath as Gujarat chief minister on October 7, 2001, and held that position for 12.5 years. He has been prime minister for the last 12.5 years, winning thrice.
Shah said Modi's continuous journey of service, struggle, and dedication as chief minister and prime minister has become synonymous with the welfare of the poor, the women, and the youth.
"He has transformed the very definition of governance through people-centric policies, their implementation, firmness in decision-making, transparency, and a guarantee of results, while establishing the ideal of politics of performance," he added.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Modi has been dedicated to the service of the people all these years.
Cabinet minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the journey that began 25 years ago has now reached the great "yajna" of building a developed and self-reliant India.
"His (Modi's) hard work, efforts, patience, and enthusiasm are an inspiration to all of us. Working as a colleague with him is a fortune in itself," he said.
Chouhan said Swami Vivekananda, more than 100 years ago, could see India rising to become 'Vishwaguru'.
"One Narendra said this, and that dream is coming true under the leadership of another Narendra," he said.
Union minister Nitin Gadkari thanked Modi for "25 years of fearless and focused leadership." "There were many moments when the easy way was available, but you always chose the right way even when it was difficult. That kind of courage is rare," he said.
