TTJ- East India Travmart (EITM) showcased the potential of the domestic market of tourism business in the north-east states of India. Around 250 agents of various travel trade associations, from local Kolkata, West Bengal and north-east states, joined this event as buyers and met more than 50 top travel trade exhibitors who came with variety of tourism products across India and abroad. INDIA TOURISM Eastern India and Ministry Of Tourism Govt of India have participated along with India Tourism, Kolkata at TTJ-EITM 2024. Regional Director of India Tourism , Ministry of Tourism Government of India Sri Pranav Prakash addressed the event's preregistered participants of national and international exhibitors and top tour operators during B to B presentation session on the opening day, 21st November .
India Tourism focused highly on domestic tourism business through various concepts while Yuva Tourism Club targeted school and college students to educate them. The Yuva Tourism Club is a collaboration between I.T.D.C. (India Tourism) and H.R. College under the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India directives to form Yuva Tourism Clubs at various educational institutions such as schools and colleges.Vision of Yuva Tourism Club is to nurture and develop young ambassadors of Indian tourism who would become aware of tourism possibilities in India, appreciate our rich cultural heritage and develop an interest and passion for tourism. These young ambassadors would be catalysts for promoting tourism in India.

TTJ EITM 2024 top exibitors- sellers presented and exhibited their products across India during B to B meetings with travel buyers and also participated in presentation session on 20th November 2024 evening .
Mr. Gurjit Sigh Ahuja- Co- Convener of TTJ TRAVMART EITM 2024 said that their main objective is to increase tourism business in Easten Region states especially NORTH EAST states, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand and Odisha. He said that eastern region has huge potential for tourism business. WB state and eastern region other states based tourists travel across world as well as domestic tourist spots of India. He said that Bengali communities from Kolkata and West Bengal spend both in domestic and international tours every year .
He added that West Bengal is one of the most beautiful states in India where Hills, teagardens - Darjeeling, virgin seabeaches- Digha, Mondermoni, and Forest - Sundorbon are all attractive tourist spots available for domestic and international tourists. He added that EITM - TTJ , Sampan Media Organiser conducted their events at Kolkata because of its business potential in world tourism map , where a large number of tour oprators, stakeholders concentrate to increase their BUSINESS turnover every year.
WB tourism Board took many initiatives for development of tourism industry across the state and invented lesser known tourist spots, like Darjeeling Dooars, Purulia, Coochbihar, Sunderban, Digha, Mandeemoni, etc .
