Patna | Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here on Thursday to attend in the Cabinet expansion event of the BJP-led NDA government in the state.
From the airport, the prime minister left for Gandhi Maidan and was greeted by people who lined up on both sides of the road and showered flowers while raising slogans hailing him.
The new ministers will take oath of office at the Gandhi Maidan.
The function is being seen as a veritable celebration by the BJP, as Samrat Choudhary has become the firm from the party to hold the chief minister's post in Bihar.
He assumed the charge of chief minister on April 15 after Nitish Kumar quit the post and joined the Rajya Sabha.
Along with Choudhary, JD(U)'s Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav had taken oath as members of the Council of Ministers.
