Mumbai | The Maharashtra government on Wednesday unveiled the official logo for the 2027 Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela.

The logo was unveiled by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the Sahyadri Guest House in the presence of Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, an official release said.

The design was selected through a nationwide competition jointly organised by the Kumbh Mela Authority, MyGov and the Association of Designers of India. A total of 3,067 entries, including 70 from international participants, were received during the contest held between November 20 and December 20, 2025.

A panel of eminent design experts, including Prasoon Joshi, selected the winning design.

Sumit Kate won the first prize of Rs 3 lakh, while Mayank Nayak and Piyush Pimpalnerkar secured the second and third prizes and received Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1 lakh, respectively.

According to the statement, the logo incorporates symbols associated with the religious and cultural heritage of Nashik and Trimbakeshwar, including Lord Shiva's trident, the Trimbakeshwar temple, the Kalaram temple arch and the Godavari River.
