Asifabad(Telangana) | Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday directed the officials concerned to withdraw Podu related cases on the Adivasis as the government was implementing a land regulation campaign on a large scale. Addressing a well attended public meeting after issuing land patta certificates for the Adivasis , the chief minister affirmed that the power supply system in the Adivasi regions would be augmented with three phase lines in the next few months and the local public representatives would take necessary initiatives in this regard.


The chief minister launched the podu lands distribution to the Adivasis in the state formally on Friday and declared that the historic slogan of Jal Jungle Zameen would be realised with the imementation of podu land distribution process. The chief minister asserted that the long cherished dream of Komuram Bheem would be transformed into a reality as the government was keen on implementing the reformist mode. About one lakh fifty thousand Adivasi farmers are getting through this innovative decision of the government and about Rs.23.56 crore worth Rythu Bandhu benefits are distributed to the beneficiaries of the tribal terrain.

A total of 4.06 lakh acres extent of land would given patta certificates and 151146 podu farmers get the benefits he announced amidst applause from the public. Bhadradri Koththa Gudem district with fifty one thousand beneficiaries and 1.51 lakh acres of podu lands figures on the top of the scheme. The chief minister said a total of fifteen thousand beneficiaries are getting about 49 thousand acres. Earlier in the afternoon the chief minister unveiled the statue of komuram bheem in the children’s park area of the town.

The programme was preceded by a series of programmes pertaining to the inaugural of BRS office building district police complex and the integrated Collectorate complex .The chief minister during the series of inaugurals has formally launched the patta for podu lands process and twelve Adivasi women were accorded certificates in the programme.

The chief minister said that  3400 Adivasi gudems and Thandas upgraded Gram panchayats in the state. He sanctioned a road bridge on Wardha river &Industrial training institute at Asifabad .The chief minister also sanctioned Rs 10 lakhs each  to 355Gram panchayats  for taking up various development activities. He also sanctioned Rs 25 crores each to Sirpur Kagaz nagar & Asifabad municipalities.


The couple of Karpeta vimalabhai of chiraaku ta in Asifabad mandal, Kati anyabhai of jodeghat in kerimeri mandal, and ten others were among the list of beneficiaries who got the land patta certificates.


Ministers Mahamood Ali, Prashanth Reddy, Indrakaran Reddy,  Government Whip Balka suman,  J.Santhosh Rao MP , MLAs Athram Sakku, Koneti Konappa, and others took part in the programmes. In the official programme the chief secretary Shanthi Kumari spoke about the relief the region secured subsequent to the carving of new districts and she detailed how the development was achieved.
