New Delhi | The Global Nair Summit 2026 and Vidyadhirajolsavam Valedictory Celebration concluded here on Sunday at the Mavlankar Auditorium, Constitution Club of India, bringing together prominent personalities and representatives of the global Nair community on a common platform dedicated to culture, education, spirituality and social service.
Organised by the Global Nair Seva Samaj in association with NSS Delhi, the event was held under the aegis of Sree Vidyadhiraja Paramabhattaraka Chattampi Swamikal and drew participation from community leaders, academicians, social workers, and delegates from India and abroad.
The programme was inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Union Minister of State Suresh Gopi, Union Minister of State Shripad Yesso Naik, spiritual leader Brahmarishi Dr. Mohanji, and Swami Nijamritananda Puri, Administrative Director of Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Gupta said Delhi belonged to everyone and not to any one section. She described Kerala as the land of saints such as Adi Shankara and Chattampi Swamikal, and said it was rightly called "God's Own Country." She also said she would work towards installing a statue of Bharata Kesari Mannathu Padmanabhan in Delhi, in recognition of his contribution to the upliftment of the community and society at large.
A key highlight of the summit was the launch of the Sri Vidyadhiraja Vidyapeetham, an educational initiative affiliated with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham aimed at expanding knowledge and opportunities for the empowerment of younger generations. Swami Nijamritananda Puri took part in the launch.
Speakers at the summit stressed that preserving cultural heritage must go hand in hand with education, social responsibility and community service, underlining the need to pass on traditional values to future generations while contributing meaningfully to wider society.
The spiritual segment of the event was marked by an address from Brahmarishi Dr. Mohanji, whose remarks brought the programme to a close and underscored the continuing relevance of compassion, service and human values in contemporary life.
Organisers said the summit aims to build a global platform connecting members of the Nair community across geographies while promoting cultural continuity, educational advancement and collective social initiatives. The presence of delegates from across India and overseas lent the gathering an international character, offering participants an opportunity to exchange ideas and explore joint initiatives in education, culture and social service.
The Global Nair Summit 2026 and Vidyadhirajolsavam concluded with renewed commitment to the community's cultural legacy, alongside an emphasis on knowledge, service and collective responsibility going forward.
