New Delhi | The marquee G20 summit of heads of state will conclude Sunday, a day after India achieved a tremendous diplomatic feat by bringing countries together to unanimously agree on a declaration – in spite of Russia-Ukraine.

Other significant takeaways from Day 1 was the addition of the 55-member African Union to the grouping, and the announcement of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.

Sunday began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcoming world leaders at Rajghat as they arrived to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi.

The third session of the summit at venue Bharat Mandapam in the capital’s Pragati Maidan has been called “One Future” where leaders will discuss climate change among other things.

The summit will conclude with the adoption of the New Delhi Leaders Declaration.
