Keli's 30th anniversary celebrations will conclude today

Renowned tabla player Ustad Zakir Hussain will dedicate the year-long art series to the memory of goddess Vidushi Annapurna by lighting the Bhadra Deepam.

Mumbai | The 30th anniversary celebrations of Keli will conclude on Wednesday, December 13 at the CIDCO Exhibition Center Auditorium in Vashi at 6.30 pm sharp. Renowned tabla player Ustad Zakir Hussain will dedicate the year-long art series to the memory of goddess Vidushi Annapurna by lighting the Bhadra Deepam.

Keli's Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Ustad Zakir Hussain by the pride of Kerala’s musical art Padmashree Peruvanam Kuttan Marar and Padmashree Mattannur Sankarankutty. This golden seal was designed by renowned sculptor and painter Riaz Komu. Ustad Zakir Hussain will lead the percussion performance tomorrow. After the tabla concert, Ustad and Padmashree Mattannur Sankarankutty Marar will join to create Laya Vinyasam (the exposition of intricacies of rhythm while playing the percussion instruments) on Chenda and Tabla.

Director of Ksheer Sagar Apte Foundation - Dr. Swati Apte; Sanjana Kapoor; The Directors of Peruvanam International Village Festival - Dr Ajayakumar, Rajeev Menon & Riyas Komu; T. Venugopala Menon, Managing Director of Oasis; Art Editors - Thomas Mathew & Kosi and former Managing Director of LIC B. Venugopal will be the chief guests.
