Palakkad (Kerala) | A three-member gang, including a woman, was arrested here on Monday while allegedly transporting a range of narcotic substances, including MDMA, cocaine, LSD stamps and hybrid cannabis, police said.

The arrests were made during a vehicle inspection by the District Dansaf Squad and Palakkad North Police at Olavakkode in the early hours of Monday, based on a tip-off, they said.

The accused, who are reportedly from Karnataka and Kerala, were travelling towards Palakkad when police intercepted their vehicle at Olavakkode after chasing it based on information about their movement.

Police have taken their vehicle into custody.

The operation was part of intensified vehicle checks ordered by the district police chief under 'Operation Toofan', police said.

The three were taken into custody and brought to the police station for questioning.

Police are also investigating the source of the drugs and the persons to whom they were allegedly being transported for delivery in Kerala.
