

Thiruvananthapuram | The State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET) and the Keralam Home Department will jointly organise a state-level short film competition for school students to promote the state's anti-drug campaign 'Operation Toofan'.
Students from high school, higher secondary and vocational higher secondary education (VHSE) levels can participate in the competition, an official statement issued on Tuesday said.
Teams securing the first three positions in district-level competitions will qualify for the state-level contest. The district-level winner will receive Rs 10,000, a trophy and a certificate, while the state-level winners will receive Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively, along with trophies and certificates, it said.
Operation Toofan is a state-wide anti-narcotics campaign to curb the trafficking, sale and consumption of drugs through coordinated enforcement, intelligence-sharing and public participation.
The drive brings together multiple state and central agencies to identify supply chains, dismantle trafficking networks and strengthen preventive measures against substance abuse.
