Thrissur (Kerala) | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held a high-energy roadshow in Thrissur as part of the NDA’s assembly poll campaign, with thousands of people lining the streets to catch a glimpse of him.
The roadshow, which began from near the District hospital, proceeded through the heart of the cultural capital of Kerala.
The roadshow transformed the city into a sea of party flags, cheering supporters and curious onlookers.
Braving the evening heat, people gathered along the sides of the road hours in advance, waving, chanting slogans and capturing the moments on their mobile phones as the PM greeted them from an open vehicle.
Prominent NDA candidates in Thrissur district, including Padmaja Venugopal and union minister Suresh Gopi, who represents Thrissur in Lok Sabha, took part part in the roadshow.
Earlier, Modi arrived at the Kuttanellur helipad, where he was received by senior BJP-NDA leaders.
