Thiruvananthapuram | Keralam Chief Minister V D Satheesan will meet visitors at the state Secretariat on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3 pm to 5.30 pm, except on public holidays, as part of a new arrangement announced by his office on Monday.
Under the new system, Satheesan will first meet elderly people, persons with disabilities and those with physical difficulties at the Grievance Redressal Cell on the secretariat premises on these three days.
He will meet other visitors at his office thereafter. Those who have taken prior appointments can also meet the Chief Minister during the designated hours, his office said.
The new arrangement will come into effect from September 2.
The Chief Minister's Office said the new system was aimed at helping people coming from other districts meet the Chief Minister quickly and submit their complaints, while also avoiding overcrowding.
On days when the CM is not at the secretariat, the public can submit complaints directly at the Grievance Redressal Cell, where specially designated officials will receive complaints from 3 pm to 5 pm, it said.
