Thiruvananthapuram | The ECI on Saturday published the final electoral roll in Kerala after the SIR exercise, with around nine lakh names removed from the list.
The total number of voters in the state now stands at over 2.69 crore.
The Election Commission of India also shared a link—http://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in—enabling the public to check their names on the updated list.
According to data released by the ECI at a press meet on Friday, the revised electoral roll has 2,69,53,644 voters, compared to 2,78,50,855 before the Special Intensive Revision began in October last year.
As many as 8,97,211 voters were removed following the SIR exercise, the ECI said.
In the revised list, male voters number 1,31,26,048, female voters 1,38,27,319, and transgender voters 277, officials said.
The number of overseas voters in the updated roll is 2,23,558, while service voters stand at 54,110.
ECI officials said 36.88 lakh voters were issued notices for hearings as part of the SIR process, of whom 53,229 were excluded from the final list.
Meanwhile, the voter list of the State Election Commission, based on which the 2025 local body elections were conducted, had 2,86,07,658 voters.
The ECI said an additional 4,01,368 applications for correction, inclusion and deletion were received between January 31 and February 16.
The Commission added that aggrieved voters can approach it after the release of the final list for inclusion or deletion.
The final list will also be provided to political parties for verification.
Officials added that names can be included in the electoral roll until the last date for filing nominations for the Assembly elections.
Thiruvananthapuram | Kerala, which has a large number of people working abroad, has 2.23 lakh overseas voters as per the new electoral roll released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise on Saturday.
According to ECI data, a total of 2,23,558 people have registered as overseas voters in the state.
The highest number of overseas voters is from Kuttiadi constituency in Kozhikode district with 16,002 voters, followed by 12,424 in Nadapuram (Kozhikode district), 8,601 in Tirur (Malappuram district) and 8,097 in Kalliasseri (Kannur district).
The lowest numbers were recorded in Neyyattinkara in Thiruvananthapuram district with just 13 overseas voters, followed by 35 in Kattakada (Thiruvananthapuram district) and 39 each in Parassala (Thiruvananthapuram district) and Idukki constituency in Idukki district.
Of the total overseas voters, 1,90,090 are male, 33,458 are female and 10 are transgender, as per the fresh ECI list.
Thiruvananthapuram | With the Election Commission of India (ECI) publishing the final voters’ list after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Kerala on Saturday, a total of 277 transgender people have been included in the electoral roll, with the highest number from the Thiruvananthapuram constituency.
According to the revised list, the Thiruvananthapuram constituency has the highest number of transgender voters at 15.
It is followed by Tanur constituency (Malappuram district) with 13 transgender voters, Nemom (Thiruvananthapuram district) with 9, Wandoor (Malappuram district) with 7, and Kanhangad (Kasaragod) with 6.
According to the fresh roll, around 34 of the 140 Assembly constituencies in Kerala have no transgender voters registered.
Thiruvananthapuram | An interesting feature has emerged in the final electoral roll published by the Election Commission of India after the Special Intensive Revision in Kerala, with the Kasargod Assembly constituency recording an equal number of male and female voters.
According to the revised list, the Kasargod constituency has a total of 2,09,732 voters, of whom 1,04,866 are men, and 1,04,866 are women. There are no transgender voters registered in the constituency.
Although Kerala overall has a higher number of female voters than male voters, there are a few constituencies where male voters outnumber women.
Across the state, there are 1,38,27,319 female voters, compared to 1,31,26,048 male voters and 277 transgender voters.
The constituencies where male voters exceed female voters include Kottakkal, Tirur, Tanur, Tirurangadi, Vallikkunnu, Vengara, Malappuram and Kondotty — all in Malappuram district — as well as Manjeshwar in Kasargod district.
