Thiruvananthapuram | Keralam Higher Education Minister Roji M John on Saturday alleged that the future and dreams of students and youth in the country were under severe threat due to the "anti-student policies" of the Centre.
In a Facebook post, the minister said that repeated question paper leaks, irregularities in national-level entrance examinations, and crumbling infrastructure were leaving crores of students and young people in the country disappointed.
"At this crucial juncture, the voice being raised by Rahul Gandhi represents the country's younger generation," John said.
He said the country's higher education system should function by listening to the voices of students, teachers and parents.
"Solutions to any problem should be found by listening to the voices of those who are affected," he said.
John urged students, teachers, and the public to participate in the 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' programme, organised by Rahul Gandhi, to address failures and shortcomings in the education sector at the national level and to formulate a new vision for education.
"Let us bring about change together," he said.
