Thiruvananthapuram | BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Monday said the party and the NDA would present positive politics during the election campaign in Kerala.
He was speaking to reporters after welcoming those who had left other political parties, including the Congress and CPI(M), and social groups to join the BJP.
"In the next 23 days till the poll date, we will present issues that are affecting the people of the state. We are not interested in any controversy. We will go forward with positive politics because that is what people want," he said.
He said that the Congress and CPI(M) would raise issues to divert the attention of the public during the election campaign.
"This election is a crucial one that will decide our future. People should ignore attention-diverting matters that will be brought by the Congress and CPI(M)," he said.
The BJP's focus is on development politics in Kerala, he said. He also released the party's election campaign song.
Among the prominent personalities who joined the BJP were Congress leader Thodiyoor Ramachandran, cardiologist Dr Prathap Kumar and CPI(M) leader N A Rasheed. BJP and NDA allies are expected to conclude the seat-sharing talks and announce the candidates soon.
