Thrissur | Around 50 people were injured when a private bus overturned in Kanimangalam, Thrissur. Many are in critical condition. The injured were shifted to a private hospital in Thrissur.
The accident happened around 8:30 in the morning. The bus was going from Kanimangalam to Thrissur when it overturned. Since it was morning, most of the passengers were children and women. Locals say that the bus was going out of control and got overturned. The rescue operation is being carried out by the fire force, locals and the police.
The bus carrying around 50 people onboard met with the accident while it was overtaking another vehicle in the morning, police said. They suspect that the bus veered off the road on which some construction activities are going on. Police added that none of the injured are in serious condition.
