Bangkok| In a landmark event, the International Journalist Network, Thailand Today News, and the Global Research Conference Forum (managed by Infinite Global Research Conference Pvt. Ltd.) signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony took place at the Ratchayothin Grand Room, The Bazaar Hotel, as part of the annual seminar and general meeting.

Prof. Dr. Prakash Divakaran, CEO of Infinite Global Research Conference Pvt. Ltd. and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Himalayan University, represented the Global Research Conference Forum, while Dr. Rojanasak Saengthasiriwilai, President of the International Journalist and Media Network Association (IJMA), signed on behalf of the media bodies. Also in attendance were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pong Horadal and Ass. Prof. Dr. Arun Chainit, serving as advisors to the IJMA President. This MoU aims to bolster academic collaboration, enhance research dissemination, and forge stronger connections between journalism and academia.

The event began with a highly anticipated seminar titled “Thai Economy in the Last Quarter of 2024,” which brought together key figures from Thailand’s political, economic, and financial spheres. Notable speakers included:

  • Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, Leader of the Thai Sang Thai Party, who addressed solutions to the country's economic challenges.

  • Mr. Alongkorn Plubut, President of the FKII Thailand Institute, who highlighted opportunities amid economic turbulence.

  • Dr. Sathit Limpongpan, former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, who offered insights into the current state of finance and banking.

  • Dr. Poj Aramwattananon, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, who presented on trade outlooks.

  • Asst. Prof. Wuttisak Lapcharoenthap, Acting President of Ramkhamhaeng University, who analyzed Thai politics under the new government.

  • Mr. Krit Ungwithoonstatit, Chairman of the Thai-Myanmar Business Council, who shared perspectives on border trade.

  • Dr. Pisit Puapan, Director of Macroeconomic Policy, Ministry of Finance, who provided crucial data on the economic trajectory for the last quarter of 2024.

Adding to the insights, Prof. Dr. Prakash Divakaran delivered a thought-provoking presentation on “Navigating Economic Turbulence: The Role of Sustainable Tourism and Digital Transformation in Reviving Thailand’s Post-Crisis Economy.”

The seminar shed light on Thailand's current economic standing and the strategies required to address the nation’s challenges, offering valuable insights to both academics and media professionals.

The newly signed MoU paves the way for impactful academic and research partnerships, fostering collaboration that will benefit both Thailand and the international community.
