Gurugram | Post-mortem examination of the four suspected shooters allegedly linked with the Deepak Nandal gang -- killed in the Friday-night encounter here -- revealed that a total of 21 bullets had struck them and passed right through, with no bullet found lodged inside the bodies, officials said on Saturday.

This suggests the shots were fired from close range, they said, adding that all deceased sustained gunshot wounds to the neck, chest and abdomen.

A video of the shootout has also surfaced on social media, showing individuals with sophisticated weapons moving through the streets.

The video clip, apparently recorded by residents of Sushant Lok area where the encounter took place, purportedly shows police personnel in plain clothes.

The four deceased are Ankit, Nitin, and Aryan -- residents of village Baloth in Rohtak -- and Deepa alias Sandeep, a resident of Fatehabad.

According to doctors who performed the autopsies, Deepa had sustained four bullet wounds. Five bullet holes each were found in the bodies of Aryan and Nitin, while Ankit's body bore the highest number of gunshot injuries, with seven bullet wounds on his body.

Doctors said all the deceased sustained gunshot wounds to the neck, chest, and abdomen. The post-mortem revealed that all the bullets passed through the bodies and not a single bullet was found lodged inside.

According to doctors, this indicates that the shots were fired from very close range.

Following the post-mortem, all four bodies were handed over to relatives late Friday evening.

One of the accused shooters Shivam and three police personnel who sustained injuries in the encounter are being treated in a hospital, and their conditions are said to be stable.

A senior police officer said Shivam will be arrested soon after he is discharged from hospital, and will be subjected to sustained interrogation.

Five alleged shooters with suspected links with gangster Deepak Nandal were injured in a police encounter in Gurugram's Sushant Lok A-Block Friday night, with four succumbing to injuries.

More than 60 rounds were exchanged between both parties during the encounter.

Police recovered five sophisticated pistols, more than 50 empty cartridges, live ammunition and one black Scorpio used by the accused.
