Bhopal | Preparations have been completed to run Madhya Pradesh's first and country's 11th Vande Bharat train. It was earlier planned to run at the end of February, but due to the delay in getting the rake by the Railway Board, it will be run till the end of March.

It is being told that the rakes of Vande Bharat train can come soon from Chennai Coach Factory. At the same time, along with Ratlam Railway Division, Jabalpur Railway Division has also completed preparations for the operation of this semi-high speed train. With the commencement of the semi-high speed train, the people of Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur will be able to complete their journey in less time.

According to departmental sources of Railways, Vande Bharat will complete the journey of 599 km from Jabalpur to Indore in 6.30 hours. The speed of Vande Bharat train running on Indore-Jabalpur route will be around 100 to 120 km/h.

According to an official associated with the operations, the Vande Bharat train will leave Jabalpur at 5 am and reach Indore at around 11.30 am. In return, the train will leave Indore at 3 pm and reach Jabalpur at 10 pm. This train will run with stoppages at Itarsi, Rani Kamalapati and Ujjain stations from both sides.

Presently Narmada Express running between Indore to Jabalpur takes 14 hours and Jabalpur-Indore overnight express takes 10 hours 50 minutes.

Along with Ratlam Railway Division, Jabalpur Railway Division has also stepped up preparations for the operation of Vande Bharat. Work has started in the coaching yard of Jabalpur station for the maintenance and cleaning of the train.
