Bhopal | District collector Ashish Singh issued an order related to tubewell mining, he had banned tubewell mining in Bhopal district.

Orders were issued regarding this on Saturday. Now if someone does illegal mining then FIR will be registered without the permission of the SDM, the entry of the boring machine will also not be possible in the city or district.

The ground water level is declining due to the heat. Due to this, the PHE had given a report to the Collector and then these restrictive orders have been issued.

Collector Singh has banned private tubewell mining in the entire district from April 22 under section 6 (1) of Madhya Pradesh Drinking Water Preservation Act-1986 and Amendment Act 2002. This ban will continue till June 30. That is, no tubewell mining will be done during this period.

No boring machine will enter without the permission of the SDM. Nor will any new mining be done. Machines passing through public roads will be able to enter. FIR will be lodged in the concerned police station for illegal mining or entry.

SDM will inspect from time to time and will be able to take action and shall be punishable with fine which may extend to Rs 2000 or with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years. Both can also be punished with punishment.

This order will not apply to mining under government schemes, but its permission will also be necessary.
