Bhopal: Kairali Arts & Sports Welfare Foundation celebrated Onam Fest 2026 with great enthusiasm and grandeur at the Bhopal Memorial Hospital & Research Centre (BMHRC) Auditorium, Bhopal. The celebration brought together members of the Malayali community, their families, and representatives of various Malayali associations in Bhopal.
The programme was graced by Dr. Manisha Srivastava, Director In-charge, BMHRC, as the Chief Guest. Justin K. Joseph, World Coordinator, World Malayalee Federation, Babu Antony, Director, St. Mary's Higher Secondary School, Sehore, and Babu Thomas, Chairman, St. George Group of Institutions, attended the function as Special Guests. Heads and representatives of various Malayali community organisations and associations in Bhopal were also present on the occasion.
Linesh Udumbanattu, President of Kairali Arts & Sports Welfare Foundation, welcomed the dignitaries, guests, members and families to the celebration. Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries appreciated the activities and functioning of Kairali Arts & Sports Welfare Foundation, particularly its various charitable initiatives, social service activities, and efforts to bring the Malayali community together. They lauded the organisation for its continued commitment to community welfare and for creating opportunities to identify and encourage the talents of children and youth.
The celebration featured a traditional Onam Sadhya, followed by a vibrant array of cultural programmes presented by the members and children of the Kairali family. The performances, along with various Onam celebrations and entertainment programmes, created a lively and festive atmosphere and added colour and energy to the event.
The participation of children and families made the celebration especially memorable, reflecting the spirit of 'Nammalorumichoru Onam' (നമ്മളൊരുമിച്ചൊരു ഓണം), celebrating togetherness, tradition and community spirit.
Pratheesh Krishnan, Vice President, Kairali Arts & Sports Welfare Foundation, proposed the vote of thanks and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries, guests, community leaders, members, volunteers, children and families whose valuable support and participation contributed to the success of the celebration. The grand celebration concluded on a joyful note, strengthening the bonds of unity and togetherness among the Malayali community in Bhopal.
