Bhopal | The Madhya Pradesh government has changed the conditions for giving compassionate appointments to the family members of the dependents of government employees who die while in service. Now no distinction will be made whether the daughter or sister is married, divorced, widowed, abandoned or unmarried.

According to the order issued by the General Administration Department, so far in the case of compassionate appointment, if the husband or wife is not eligible for compassionate appointment or if they refuse, either son or daughter will be eligible.

Till now only unmarried daughter and sister were eligible. Now, on the death of a government servant, a married daughter will also be eligible. On the death of an unmarried government servant, both brother and sister will be eligible on the recommendation of the parents. Earlier only unmarried sister was eligible.

At the same time, if the parents are not alive, the younger brother and sister will be given a job with mutual consent. Along with this, the government has clarified in its order that no distinction will be made if the daughter or sister is married, divorced, widowed, abandoned or unmarried.
