When Raja Pateria's lawyers, who were trying for bail after arrest, did not get relief from the local court, they filed a bail petition in the Special MP/MLA Court of Gwalior District Court in December itself, but the court rejected it. He again filed a bail petition in Gwalior ADJ Court, which was rejected by the court on December 22, ADJ Court refused to grant bail, agreeing with the arguments presented by the government advocate.
