Bhopal | Researchers from two institutions in Bhopal have developed a sensor to determine the quality and effectiveness of homeopathic medicines, according to a new study. The sensor, called the Ultra High Dilution Signature Detection sensor, was used to identify the subtle electromagnetic waves propagated by homeopathic medicines.

For the first time, the quality of homeopathic medicine can be identified and determined using this special sensor device, allowing for quality control. The study also found that homeopathic medicines can be charged to increase their effectiveness, which is an unprecedented success in making these medicines more effective. The study was published by Elsevier Science Direct, a leading academic publication company.

The researchers hope that this invention will prove to be a milestone in the field of identifying, certifying, and enhancing the quality of homeopathic medicine.

The study was conducted by two institutions in Bhopal - the Government Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital (GHMC) and the CSIR-Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI).

The study was initiated by the Department of AYUSH, Government of Madhya Pradesh, under the leadership of Prof Dr Nisanth Nambison from GHMC and Dr Harinarayan Bhargava from AMPRI. Other researchers who participated in the study include Mohit Sharma, Avneesh Srivastava, Manoj Kumar Gupta, Mahendra R Jadhav, Khushwant Singh Gavel, Prabhat Kumar Baghel, and Meraj Ahmad. Dr Narendra Sharma, Dr Abhishek Dhar Dwivedi, and their team from GHMC provided significant support.
