Bhopal | On the issue of old pension, the employees of Madhya Pradesh have again taken to the streets. In Bhopal on Monday, the employees shouted slogans holding placards in their hands and NPS caps on their heads. They said that if the government does not restore the old pension, then there will be a fierce movement ahead.
Carrying NPS caps and placards, the ministerial employees took out a rally from Gate No. 6 of Vallabh Bhawan raising slogans 'Restore old pension...'. After this the memorandum was submitted. The employees said that the old pension scheme was discontinued in the year 2005. Since then the employees who are retiring are getting a pension of only Rs 800-1500, which is not enough to live.
Employee leader Sudhir Nayak said that the government is cheating the employees. He demanded from CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan that the old pension scheme should be restored in Madhya Pradesh on the lines of other states, so that pensioners can get a support in old age.
Employee leaders said on the issue of pension restoration after former Chief Minister and Congress State President Kamal Nath came to the government, that it is the right of the employees, it should not be politicised. Whatever the government may be, implement the old pension scheme and give the employees a way to live life.
