Dhar/Manavar | “I have come here to Balipur Dham not as a Chief Minister but as a teacher and disciple”-this was stated by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who attended the 103 rd birth anniversary of Sant Gajanand Maharaj at Balipura Dham in Manawar district. He participated in the drug-free programme from the stage and made people take oath for a drug free life.

He spoke about the government’s efforts in making the state drug-free. “We have taken a resolution that first the premises along with the liquor shops will be closed. After getting intoxicated by buying a bottle of liquor, people used to reach home swinging. This affects the economic condition of the family. That's why on the land of Madhya Pradesh, we are going to close all the premises of liquor shops from April 1 under the de-addiction campaign”, said CM Chouhan.

Apart from this, action will be taken for license suspension if found driving under the influence of alcohol. If found driving under the influence of alcohol three times in a row, the license will be canceled for life.

He reached Balipura Dham and took the blessings of the saints. Also participated in the programme organised here. During this, along with CM Chouhan, Minister in-charge of the district Prabhuram Chaudhary, Industries Minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon, MP Chhatar Singh Darbar, former cabinet minister Ranjana Baghel, BJP state minister Jaideep Patel and others were present.
