Sai devotees make 3700 kg kichri to claim world record

A world record has been claimed on Thursday in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh.

Bhopal | A world record has been claimed on Thursday in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The Guinness World Records team is present and video recording of the entire event was done. This event was organised at Sai Mandir of Aadharshila Colony, Awadhpuri. On Thursday, Sai devotees prepared Prasad of 3700 Kg Kichri, a humble lentil and grain dish, in less than 6 hours.

The team of Guinness Book of World Records was present in the temple complex on Thursday. Sai devotees made 3700 kg of Kichri in just less than 6 hours. This event of making Kichri is being registered in the Guinness Book of World Records. As soon as the world record is created, the team of Guinness Book of World Records will hand over the certificate to the temple committee.

The work of making Kichri in an iron pot weighing two tonnes i.e. two thousand kg started in the morning. The team of 25 people continued to make Kichri. 80 kg of vegetables, 350 kg of rice and 60 kg of pulses were added to this Kichri. Also, 65 kg pumpkin, 65 kg cabbage, 25 kg carrot, 65 kg cabbage, 50 kg beans , 4 kg green chili, 4 kg ginger, 7 kg green coriander, 30 kg tomato were used.

Apart from this, 20 kg chana daal, 40 kg toor dal, 60 kg green moong, 15 kg groundnut, 104 liters of oil and 2 kg makhana, 3.5 kg turmeric, 3 kg hing, 3 kg Kashmiri chili was also added.

This event has been organised by Ramesh Mahajan, the founder of Sai temple located in Awadhpuri. This time Mahajan says that he has retired from the post of Technician Grade-1 in BHEL on April 24 after working for 37 years.

This time, for Sai devotees, he had taken a pledge that 3700 kgs of Kichri would be prepared. This Kichri will be distributed among more than 15 thousand Sai devotees. A team of experts was present to make Kichri. The temple was established on 11 October 2008.
