‘Shades of Life’ is an anthology film directed by Natarajan Pattambi, Rasheed Ahmed and Jamsheer Muhammad on the theme of colors of life. The first look poster of the film, which revolves around the stories of Pambum Kayarum, Vel, Kalavu and Rooh, has been released.
This anthology is a journey into the life of four families. An alcoholic who seeks the advice of locals to solve his marital problems; A migrant worker who struggles to give his baby an expensive puppy; A father who goes after the thief who stole his money, which was organized for his daughter’s wedding; Parents who know that their love married children are going to have babies and the lovers who are struggling to build a life alone – the four shades of life.
By the time the belated wisdom comes into play, life may have crossed many rough paths. Is it really necessary in mortal human life? The answer to that is what the children who come and go in these shades say without saying. An anthology film depicting the evil behind the good of rural life. A touch, a mere closeness, understanding of another's condition, a realization of small dreams - a reminder of how to generate rainbow on everything in the shades of life.
The directors say that for them, this film is not just a 5-year wait with the desire of cinema. They are gratified to have beautifully captured every scene of the common man’s life in this film.
Director Natarajan Pattambi said, "I had made a short film called ‘2021 Achchan’. It got a lot of appreciation. It also inspired me for my future journey." He added, "Becoming a film director has been a dream of mine for years. There is always more effort behind the scenes than acting."
Jamsheer, another director, said that the film should be noticed, more people should watch it, and it should be discussed. He said that the first look poster of the film has received good feedback and exciting moments are in store for the audience in each story as the film progresses.
The 3 directors are thanking many friends at the time of completion of the film shoot. Many people have come in the form of help during crisis situations.
All the team members are happy that the film has been done well in all areas. The directors are confident that they have been able to take the subject stupendously in a way that easily connects with the audience. All the actors have done their respective roles well and beautifully. Anyway, all the directors have definitely tried to make the movie feel good to the audience.
Niaz Backer, Kumar Sunil, Dasan Kongadu, Abu Valayamkulam, Bhaskar Aravind, Telephone Raj, Sathyan Prabhapuram, Swathi Mohanan, Karthik, Sami, Rajeev Pallath, Zacharia Valayamkulam, Sreeja K. Das, Athira Suresh, Uttara, Ramani Mancheri, Saleesha Shankar, Bini, Baby Souparnika, Nirupama Rajeev and Sivada are performing the lead characters. Sudevan, Vijeesh Thottingal, Natarajan Pattambi and Rasheed Ahmed have written the story of the film.
Produced by Classic Media Entertainments, the cinematography of the film has been carried out by Shihab Ongallur. Dr. Tara Jayashankar, Ganesh Malayath, Faisal Ponnani, Ponmani and Jayadevan Alanallur have written the lyrics and the music has been composed by Bijipal, Vishnu Sivashankar and Jayadevan Alanallur. The singers are Anuradha Sriram, Sitara Krishnakumar, Pranav C. P., Raza Razak, Younayiso and Jayadevan Alanallur.
