New Delhi | Filmmaker Srikanth Odela's directorial "The Paradise", featuring Nani, has earned over Rs 70 crore on the opening day at the global box office.
The film released in theatres on September 24 and follows the story of a marginalised tribe, stripped of fundamental rights and faced with social discrimination. A fierce man named, Jadal (Nani) challenges this systemic oppression.
According to the trade tracking website Sacnilk, the Telugu film has earned Rs 54.90 crore at the domestic box office and Rs 22.00 crore overseas. The total collection of the film stands at Rs 76.90 crore at the box office.
Actors Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni and Raghav Juyal round out the cast of the film. It released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Telugu, English, and Spanish languages and is produced by SLV Cinemas.
