Navi Mumbai witnessed a mesmerizing dance performance from various parts of India at the Sindhu Nair's Ghungroo All India Dance Festival. Over a thousand artists from all corners of the country won the hearts of everyone by showcasing their dances in this remarkable programme. The event took place at the CIDCO Auditorium on Sunday, featuring a wide array of dance forms.

The programme showcased classical dances such as Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, and Yakshagana, reflecting the diversity and unity of our country. Folk dances including Gujarati, Leli Lemdi, Tiruvadhira Kali, Gandal, Telugu dance, Sabalpuri, Kashmiri, and Maharashtrian Ladaki Lavani enthralled the audience, who couldn't resist tapping their feet to the infectious rhythms. The performers received a standing ovation in a packed auditorium. In addition to these, Bollywood dance, semi-classical, contemporary fusion, and other dance forms were also performed. Artists from Surat, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and other states participated in Ghungroo to showcase their talent at this grand event.

Eminent dignitaries graced the event, including public leader and MLA Ganesh Naik, former MLA Sandeep Naik, former MP and the first mayor of Navi Mumbai Dr. Sanjeev Naik, former deputy mayor Avinash Lad, former corporator Vaishali Naik, ADGP CRPF Randeep Dutta, Rittu Dutta, Dance Director Jeet Singh from the Indian Film & Television Choreographers Association (IFTCA), Music Director Ishwar Kumar, and N R Parameswaran, the First District Governor of Lions Club. Rekha Gaur from the All India Artist Association-Simla, Saif Salim Sarang, Sahil Salim Sarang, Anoop Tharwani from the Vishwa Sindhi Association, Vishal Dutt, Usha Dutta, and many other dignitaries were also present.

Ganesh Naik, a people's leader, praised the programme, emphasizing that the dance art of the entire country had come together on one stage in Navi Mumbai, showcasing unity in diversity. He acknowledged the support of Sindhu Nair's family in bringing together artists from all corners of the country and increasing the pride of Navi Mumbai. Dr. Sanjiv Naik, the first mayor and former MP, expressed his vision of taking the Ghungroo programme not only nationally but also internationally.
