Kochi | Kochi the cultural capital of Kerala, witnessed a spectacular display of grace and the breaking of stereotypes as the grand finale of GNG Miss & Mrs. Keralam - The Crown of Glory concluded last night, April 19th.
Organized by Glitz N Glam (GNG), this season stood out by directly challenging traditional beauty standards. Moving away from conventional pageantry, the event enforced no restrictive criteria for age, weight, or height, emphasizing that poise and confidence are universal. The inclusivity of the platform was highlighted by a diverse range of finalists, including 59-year-old veteran participant Premalatha Nair, whose presence on the ramp served as an inspiration to the audience.
The vision behind the event is led by Deepa Prasanna, Founder of GNG. Bringing over a decade of corporate experience as a former Global Head, Deepa transitioned into the pageant world as a participant in both Miss Keralam and Mrs. India. Her personal journey from the corporate boardroom to the national stage inspired her to establish GNG, providing a professional and empowering platform for women from all walks of life.
The finalists were evaluated by a distinguished panel of industry experts, including Dr. Aswini (Miss Grand Kerala 2026), renowned fashion choreographers Jude Felix and Dalu Krishnadas, Karl (MD of Diva Pageants), Dr. Sumi Jose, Dr. Arya, and Pooja.
The evening reached its peak with the highly anticipated crowning of the new ambassadors of Kerala’s grace. In the Miss category, Dr. Induja S. Kumar was crowned the winner, with Gayathri S. Nair and Dr. Juby Thomas securing the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. The Mrs. Silver category saw Nivedya Deljit taking the title, followed by Dr. K. Shreelaxmi Sankarankutty as first runner-up and Pooja Mohan as second runner-up. In the Mrs. Gold category, Chiku Liza John emerged victorious, while Athira Sanil and Thankam Kuttikat were named the first and second runners-up.
"Our mission is to celebrate the spirit and essence of women without boundaries," said Deepa Prasanna. "By removing physical restrictions, we allow the true talent and stories of these women to take center stage. Seeing a 59-year-old walk the same ramp as a 22-year-old proves that dreams have no expiration date."
The event featured curated segments highlighting Kerala’s rich heritage and contemporary style, supported by professional grooming that focused on self-discovery and confidence-building.
