Los Angeles | Actor Anne Hathaway is the latest addition to the cast of "Days Of Thunder 2" and will feature alongside Tom Cruise in the film.
The Paramount film is directed by Jonathan Levine and is produced by Cruise, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Tommy Harper.
Cruise shared the news with a post on his X handle, which featured a video of the actor alongside Hathaway. It featured the actors going towards the car, which had "summer 2008" written over it.
"We are coming... summer 2028," the actor is heard saying in the video. Followed by Hathaway, who is pregnant, says she will have her child and will then a make a film with the actor.
"Days of Thunder. Summer 2028," he wrote in the caption.
The actors have never appeared together in the film earlier.
Cruise returns as NASCAR driver Cole Trickle, reprising the role from the 1990 film. The first installment was directed by Tony Scott and revolves around Trickle as he enters the high-stakes world of NASCAR stock car racing.
It also starred Nicole Kidman as Claire Lewicki, Robert as Harry Hogge and John as Buck Bretherton, among others
The film earned over USD 150 million at the global box office.
Hathaway recently appeared in Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey". She essayed the role of Penelope in the film.
