New Delhi | Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan penned a note on social media as he extended wishes on Diwali and said he couldn't reply to all the greetings from his fans as he has been experiencing discomfort in his hand.
Bachchan shared a note on his personal blog on Sunday and said he has received so many gifts from the fans, he is running out of storage to store them.
"Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali! Sending my warm regards, affection, and prayers for your well-being and prosperity on this day of Chaturdashi as well. May the grace of the Divine always surround us, holding us close in a comforting embrace," he wrote.
"I have been receiving greetings and gifts from so many well-wishers, and in such abundance that I am now running out of space to keep them. Not storing these gifts properly would amount to disrespecting them. Therefore, to all of you who have been sending gifts as expressions of your affection, I wish to convey my appreciation and acknowledgement.
"I am also making an effort to respond to each of you personally through letters,” he added.
The actor then apologised for the delayed response. “I had wanted to write these replies myself. However, I have been experiencing some discomfort in the hand I use for writing, which has caused a delay. I sincerely apologise," he said.
