Mumbai | 360 ONE, one of India’s leading wealth and asset management firms managing assets of more than ₹7.76 lakh crore ($82+ bn), today released the 360 ONE Wealth Creators List 2026 in collaboration with Crisil Intelligence. It is one of the most extensive mappings of wealth creators across India. The list features 3,040 individuals with a combined wealth of ₹104 lakh crore and a threshold of ₹425 crore, offering an unprecedented view into the scale, diversity, and dynamism of wealth creation in India.

Key Highlights

• The list features 3,040 individuals with a combined wealth of ₹104 lakh crore and a wealth threshold of ₹425 crore, India's most comprehensive mapping of wealth creators yet.

• The Ambani heirs (Anant, Isha & Akash) continue to hold the top 3 positions on the list, each commanding wealth exceeding 2.75 lakh crore.

• Mumbai remains India’s wealth capital, with 802 wealth creators accounting for 38.4% of total wealth.

• First-generation entrepreneurs outnumber legacy wealth creators; there are 1,696 individuals, vs 1,290 legacy entrepreneurs, heirs, and stewards.

• 738 women feature on the list, holding 22.6% of total wealth, and 47 of India's 183 dollar-billionaires are women.

• The age span of the list ranges from 7 to 96 years, with a median age of 57.

• Industrial Conglomerates dominate the list, with 30 individuals commanding 14.6% of total wealth.

• Traditional sectors including pharmaceuticals, construction machinery and engineering account for 83% of total wealth, while newer sectors such as aerospace & defence, fintech and renewable energy contribute 15.5%.

• 360 ONE also released the 360 ONE Top 100 Families List 2026, which accounts for ₹76.5 lakh crore in collective wealth, with the Top 10 families holding 49%, led by Gautam Adani & family (₹9,08,178 crore).

Commenting on the launch, Karan Bhagat, Founder, MD & CEO, 360 ONE, said, “Wealth creation in India is many stories, unfolding at once, across cities, sectors and generations. The 360 ONE Wealth Creators List 2026 brings those stories together, so the world can see the full sweep of India's enterprise. For 360 ONE, being close to that process, understanding what drives these individuals, and what they are building towards, is what allows us to serve as trusted partners to India's wealth creators.”

Industrial conglomerates emerge as the most dominant sector on the list, with 30 individuals commanding 14.6% of total wealth and an average wealth of ₹50,000 crore per individual. Pharmaceuticals follow with 273 individuals holding 11.3% of wealth, and the financial services sector with 291 individuals accounting for 7.9%. While traditional sectors continue to drive 83% of total wealth, newer sectors are making their presence felt, contributing 15.5% of total wealth, signalling the steady rise of India’s new economy.

Priti Arora, President & Business Head, Crisil Intelligence, said, “As knowledge partner, Crisil Intelligence unearthed ₹330 lakh crore of wealth, of which the list identifies 3,040 individuals holding ₹104 lakh crore. With new-age and green sectors scaling, government support is making domestic manufacturing viable; the list is now funding its own succession, as founders recycle capital into early-stage ventures. As this wealth compounds and the data deepens with each edition, the 360 ONE Wealth Creators List will only grow stronger, broader and deeper.”

Geographically, Mumbai remains the undisputed wealth capital of India, with 802 wealth creators accounting for 38.4% of total wealth. Ahmedabad follows in second place with 8.7% of total wealth, while Bengaluru ranks third with 8.1%.

This paints a fascinating contrast between two engines of Indian growth. Ahmedabad is built on the foundations of industrial conglomerates and pharmaceuticals, while Bengaluru is anchored by technology and engineering. New Delhi and Gurugram round out the top five cities. The Top 5 cities account for ~70.2% of the total list’s wealth.

The list reveals the remarkable generational breadth of India’s wealth creators, spanning individuals aged 7 to 96 with a median age of 57. Of the 3,040 individuals, 1,696 are first-generation entrepreneurs, a majority versus 1,290 legacy entrepreneurs, heirs, and stewards. 285 individuals are under the age of 40, while 141 are above 80, reflecting the deep multigenerational roots of wealth in India.

A notable feature of the 2026 list is the growing prominence of women wealth creators. 738 women feature on the list, collectively holding 22.6% of total wealth. Among these, 51 women under the age of 40 hold an average wealth of ₹6,542 crore each, an extraordinary figure that underscores the emergence of a formidable new generation of women-led wealth. Of the 183 dollar-billionaires on the list, 47 are women.

360 ONE also released the 360 ONE Top 100 Families List 2026, which maps the collective wealth of India’s most prominent business families. The top 100 families together hold ₹76.5 lakh crore, with the top 10 families alone accounting for 49% of this wealth. Industrial Conglomerates dominate with 24% of total family wealth, followed by Pharmaceuticals at 13% and IT at 6%. Gautam Adani & Family top the list with wealth of ₹9,08,178 crore, followed by Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani & Family at ₹8,93,622 crore, and Sunil Bharti Mittal & Family at ₹4,96,687 crore.

Alongside the List, 360 ONE has released a companion chapter, "Portfolio Within the Portrait," an inward look at how India's wealthiest families have allocated and managed their capital between 2022 and 2026. While the 360 ONE Wealth Creators List documents who has built wealth in India, this chapter documents what happens next: how these families structure, adjust, and grow what they've built.

Drawing on a representative cross-section of 360 ONE's client portfolios spanning multiple market cycles, significant tax changes, and periods of material uncertainty over five years, the data offers a rare, evidence-based view into decisions that are usually made quietly and rarely disclosed. One of the key findings is that safety allocations fell from more than 25% of portfolios in 2022 to around 16% by March 2026, as India's wealthiest families moved steadily from capital preservation toward real-return assets. This reflects a consistent pattern of deliberate risk-taking and disciplined allocation.

Methodology
The list is compiled through a multi-faceted methodology, drawing on company filings and annual reports of more than 10,000 listed and unlisted Indian Companies available in the public domain, transaction data including mergers and acquisitions, stake sales and equity infusions sourced from secondary domains, as well as nominations received directly from promoters.
