Mumbai | R Doraiswamy has officially taken charge as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), India’s largest life insurer.
His appointment follows a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services, Government of India. With decades of experience in the insurance and financial services sector, Doraiswamy is expected to lead LIC through its next phase of growth and transformation.
The appointment of Doraiswamy comes at a time when LIC is expanding its digital footprint, diversifying its portfolio, and navigating a highly competitive landscape post-IPO.
