Kochi | Kerala – TinkerHub Foundation organised a day-long immersive event comprising hand-on workshops and panel discussion on Artificial Intelligence, 'AI Exploration: A FullDay Dive into Artificial Intelligence', on Sunday, 25th June 2023 at TinkerSpace, Kochi. The event marks the six-month anniversary of the innovative Tinker Space by TinkerHub Foundation.
The day's highlight was a keynote speech on 'AI in Public Infrastructure' by Mr. Jibu Elias, Head of Content & Research at INDIAai. The day's programme also included a range of enlightening sessions on AI, including a panel discussion on 'Balancing Innovation and Governance in General-Purpose AI', led by Ms. Nidhi Sudhan, Co-Founder of the Citizen
Digital Foundation. Mr. Denny George, Co-Founder of Tattle Civic Tec, will spearhead a conversation on 'Tech Interventions against Social Harms'. The sessions were well received by the lively audience comprising both youth as well as industry professionals and startup enthusiasts from across Kerala. Several questions were raised about the future of work in the wake of the recent AI revolution and proliferation and widespread use of tools such as ChatGPT amongst organisations, including big tech giants.
This event saw the participation of around 300 tech enthusiasts and students, and was designed to foster an understanding and exploration of new technologies. It provided an opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in AI, with the hands-on workshops on 3D printing and web development with Chat GPT held during the first half of the day.
The event was a milestone in creating an enabling environment for building an ecosystem of AI enthusiasts in Kerala and among Kochi’s startup ecosystem and was well received by the curated audience of tech enthusiasts, industry professionals and startup founders. “ ”
