Bhopal | With two more days to go, players of all states are putting up a spectacular show by winning maximum number of medals for their state in Khelo India Youth Games. Till now the players of Maharashtra have achieved the first position in the medal table, leaving behind other states by giving the best performance so far. Host Madhya Pradesh remains third in the medal tally.
Competitions are being held in the eight cities of the state as Madhya Pradesh is hosting this year's Khelo India Youth Games 2022. These games were inaugurated on January 30 at Tatya Tope Nagar Stadium in Bhopal, these games will continue till February 11.
In the beginning, the players of Madhya Pradesh performed well and took first place in the medal tally, but after two-three days, it came down one notch and reached second place, but after two days, Haryana and Maharashtra shocked Madhya Pradesh again by pushing down the state to number three.
After reaching the third position, Madhya Pradesh has made its place firmly. Now two more days are left for the game to end, in which many matches are to be played and Madhya Pradesh expects its medal tally to increase.
According to the results of all the games that came till Wednesday, February 8, by winning a total of 112 medals with 39 gold, 39 silver and 34 bronze medals, Maharashtra is in first place in the medal tally , Haryana is at the second place, with 28 gold in its account. , 22 silver and 25 bronze for a total of 75 medals while host Madhya Pradesh is the third with 26 gold medals, 13 silver and 24 bronze for a total of 63 medals.
Khelo India Youth Games 2022 is the 5th edition of these games which is being held from 30 January to 11 February in 8 cities of Madhya Pradesh Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat and Khargone (Maheshwar). For the first time water sports namely Kayaking Canoeing, Canoe Salaam and Fencing are part of the Khelo India Games.
