New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi should sack Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan if he believes nothing is more important than the future of the youth, CPI(M) general secretary MA Baby said on Thursday.
The remarks came after Modi asserted that welfare of the country's youth is the top priority of his government and that his government has decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks.
"If the PM truly believes that nothing is more important than the future of our youth, then he should immediately sack his Education Minister under whom these papers have been linked and the corruption related to them has taken place," Baby said on X.
"Nothing short of that is acceptable. Dharmendra Pradhan has got to go!" he said.
Modi's outreach to the youth came three days after thousands of students led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) took part in the 'Sansad Chalo' march against irregularities in the NEET exam and to demand the resignation of Pradhan.
