Thiruvananthapuram | BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Friday announced the party's new team of office-bearers in Kerala.

Senior leaders M T Ramesh and Sobha Surendran, along with S Suresh and Anoop Antony, have been appointed as general secretaries, according to the party list.

The list of 10 vice-presidents includes former DGP R Sreelekha and Shaun George, the son of former MLA P C George.

Others named include K S Radhakrishnan, C Sadanandan Master, P Sudheer, C Krishnakumar, B Gopalakrishnan, K Soman, K A Aneesh Kumar, and Abdul Salam.

The party also announced ten secretaries. E Krishnadas has been appointed as the treasurer.

The inclusion of Shaun George and Anoop Antony is also seen as a move to strengthen the BJP's reach among Christian communities.

The appointments come after Chandrasekhar took over as state president, replacing K Surendran a few months ago.

Party leaders say the changes are aimed at reinforcing the BJP ahead of the upcoming local body elections and the Assembly polls next year.
