Five die in bike-car collision in Telangana

Five people, including two children, died in an accident involving a sports bike and a car in Mahbubnagar district of Telangana, police said on Monday.

Hyderabad | Five people, including two children, died in an accident involving a sports bike and a car in Mahbubnagar district of Telangana, police said on Monday.

The incident occurred on the Mahabubnagar bypass road after midnight on Sunday when the car was taking a u-turn and the bike hit it, they said.

Five people--two on the bike and three travelling in the car, who were injured in the accident, were shifted to a hospital where they died undergoing treatment, they added.

Asked about reports that bike racing could have caused the accident, a police official said they are inquiring into it.

Further investigation is on, he said.
