Hyderabad | Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday formally inaugurated the dignity housing colony of GHMC in Kollur area of Pathancheru in Sangareddy District
The colony one of the biggest and historic in the country is housing 15660 double bedroom units. It is constructed in a sprawling area of 111 acres and built in a 2.5 KM radius. The colony is planned with an outlay of Rs.1489.29 Crore and it was built in 117 blocks with 560 sq ft built in area with 25%of entire land being marked for greenery &playgrounds etc.
Dedicated cycling and walking tracks ,open air gym s , indoor sports complexes open spot arena ,tot lots for kids multi purpose ground ,open air auditorium and Bathakamma ghats are some of the features of 2BHK housing colony that makes this society as good as built by state Government.
Chief minister accompanied by chief secretary Shanthi Kumari, ministers Vemula KT Rama Rao, Hareesh Rao, V.Prashanth Reddy Sabitha Indra Reddy, Mayor GHMC Vijayalakshmi, MPs Ranjith Reddy, K Prabhakar Reddy, MLAs Gudem Mahipal Reddy, MLC Mahender Reddy and officials inspected the colony in electric vehicles for more than one hour. He distributed patta certificates to beneficiaries and handed over keys to them.
A photo exhibition is arranged in connection with the CM visit and inaugural programme. The exhibition detailed that a total of one lakh units are built in the scheme in and around the state capital. In Hyderabad in a total of thirteen segments 9453 units have been constructed in 38 locations, in Ranga Reddy thirty locations spread over six segments are housing 23908 units. Jn Medchal Malkajgiri 38419 housing units are constructed in four segments spread over 33 locations and in Sangareddy 28220 units were built in ten localities.
