Bengaluru | Karnataka chief minister-designate D K Shivakumar on Wednesday said thirteen ministers will take oath along with him on Wednesday.
Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot will administer the oath of office and secrecy to them at 4.05 pm at Lok Bhavan's Glass House.
When asked how many ministers would take the oath with him, Shivakumar told reporters, "plus thirteen". He did not elaborate further.
Sources said senior Congress leader G Parameshwara will be the state's new Deputy Chief Minister.
According to sources, other MLAs, who will take oath as ministers are -- Satish Jarkiholi, K H Muniyappa, Priyank Kharge, Krishna Byre Gowda, U T Khader, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, M B Patil, K J George, Ramalinga Reddy, Sharan Prakash Patil, Eshwar Khandre, and Byrathi Suresh.
The official list of Ministers who will take the oath is yet to be announced.
All those who are expected to take the oath, except Khader and Yathindra, were ministers in the previous cabinet led by Siddaramaiah.
Khader is the speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly until now. Yathindra is Siddaramaiah's son.
