Kancheepuram (TN) |Seven workers are feared dead in an accident at a firecracker unit near here on Wednesday and at least nine others suffered injuries, police said.

The cause of the accident at the firecracker manufacturing unit, which also has a storage facility, is not clear and a probe is on.

"Seven workers are feared dead and nine others were injured. They were rushed to hospital," a police officer said.
