New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid homage to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary.

Gandhi was born on August 20, 1944 and died on May 21, 1991.

"On the occasion of his birth anniversary, paying homage to former Prime Minister of India, Shri Rajiv Gandhi," Modi said in a post on 'X'.

Gandhi was the prime minister of India from October 31, 1984 to December 2, 1989.
