"Konkan Railway Intensify Ticket Inspection Drive"

In the month of April-2026, KRCL organized 934 ticket checking drives with routine ticket checking activities, detecting 37,000 cases of unauthorized / irregular travellers. An amount of ₹ 2.90 Cr was collected from these passengers towards due railway fare and penalty

In the month of April-2026, KRCL organized 934 ticket checking drives with routine ticket checking activities, detecting 37,000  cases of unauthorized / irregular travellers. An amount of ₹ 2.90 Cr was collected from these passengers towards due railway fare and penalty.

Cumulatively, during the financial year 2025–26, a total of 11,394 special ticket checking drives have been conducted. These drives led to the detection of 4,99,675 cases of unauthorized / irregular travellers, with a total recovery of ₹ 27.68 Cr as Railway fare and penalties.

Konkan Railway appeals to all passengers to travel with valid tickets to avoid inconvenience during their journey. In the coming Summer Holiday season, KRCL will conduct intensified ticket-checking drives across its entire route, in coordination with Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel and Railway officials, to ensure safe, secure, and comfortable travel for all bonafide passengers.
