New Delhi | General secretary M A Baby, veteran party leader Brinda Karat, and several other party leaders were detained by the police at Jantar Mantar on Saturday while they were protesting against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The leaders were at Kerala Bhawan before heading to Jantar Mantar, Karat told PTI.

"Amit Shah, dekho hum Jantar Mantar aa gaye," the leaders shouted at the protest site before they were bundled into buses and taken to Subhash Nagar Police Station, Karat said.
